An exclusive luxury experience to witness one of the world's most extraordinary astronomical events.
Some places are chosen. Others are discovered.
In the heart of Patagonia, where mountains, open land and clear waters meet beneath some of the world’s widest skies, lies Arroyo Pescado. A private wilderness territory in Chubut, Argentina, shaped by nature, history and generations of life on the land. This is where Patagonia Eclipse will take place. Not in a resort built for the occasion, but in a living piece of Patagonia — a place with its own history, its own rhythm and a landscape that has remained largely untouched.
And there are places where an eclipse can be experienced.
Arroyo Pescado is one of them.
Its remote location, open horizons and extraordinary skies create a setting where the landscape becomes part of the celestial experience.
For three days, guests will have the opportunity to step away from the ordinary and immerse themselves in a landscape that has existed long before the event — and will remain long after it.
The eclipse is the moment.
Arroyo Pescado is the place.
Here, the landscape unfolds across open valleys, mountains, native vegetation and clear waters, with an extraordinary sense of space and solitude.
There are no city lights. No urban horizon. No distractions.
Only land, sky and the elements.
The changing light across the mountains, the sound of water, the movement of wildlife and the immense Patagonian sky create an environment that is as powerful by day as it is after sunset.
This is Patagonia at its most elemental.
Arroyo Pescado is not a place created for tourism.
Its story begins with the people who came here before there was a hospitality experience to offer.
Among them was Ap Iwan, a pioneer whose life became part of the history of this land and of the Welsh presence in Patagonia.
Generations later, that history remains part of Arroyo Pescado.
The buildings, the working traditions, the animals and the relationship with the land are not elements of a theme.
They are part of the place itself.
Today, Arroyo Pescado is beginning a new chapter — one that welcomes a small number of guests while preserving the character and spirit of the land.
The matera is one of the most authentic expressions of life in the Argentine countryside.
A place to gather around the fire.
A place for conversation, mate and stories.
A place where gauchos return from the field and where time seems to move differently.
At Arroyo Pescado, the matera offers guests a glimpse into a world that exists beyond the hospitality experience — the daily culture of the people who live and work with the land.
Here, Patagonia is not performed.
It is lived.
Sheep have been part of Patagonia’s history for generations.
At Arroyo Pescado, shearing remains connected to the rhythm of life on the land.
The work is physical, seasonal and communal — a tradition that reflects the relationship between people, animals and the environment.
For visitors, witnessing the shearing is an opportunity to experience a side of Patagonia rarely seen from the outside.
Not a show.
Not a reconstruction.
A glimpse into real life on a working Patagonian estancia.
The Welsh presence in Patagonia is part of the cultural fabric of Chubut.
At Arroyo Pescado, that history can still be felt through the Welsh house — a tangible connection to the people who settled, worked and built lives in this remote corner of the world.
The house is more than architecture.
It is part of the story of how Patagonia was inhabited, shaped and passed from one generation to the next.
Today, it stands alongside the wilderness as a reminder that even in a landscape this vast, every place has a human story.
PATAGONIA, UNFILTERED
The landscape around Arroyo Pescado is home to a remarkable diversity of wildlife and native ecosystems.
Mountains rise beyond open country. Clear waters move through the land. Birds cross the immense skies. Wildlife moves through the landscape with little concern for the presence of humans.
The experience changes with every hour.
Morning light across the mountains.
The movement of animals across the fields.
The sound of water.
The silence after sunset.
And above it all, a night sky with extraordinary clarity.
At Arroyo Pescado, nature is not something to look at from behind a window.
It surrounds you.
There are few places where the sky feels as close as it does in Patagonia. At Arroyo Pescado, the vastness of the landscape continues upward into an immense night sky, far from the glow of cities. And on February 6, 2027, something extraordinary will happen above this land. For a brief and unforgettable moment, the sky will change. Guests will gather in the wilderness of Arroyo Pescado to experience the eclipse together, surrounded by mountains, open land and the silence of Patagonia.
A celestial event. A once-in-a-lifetime journey. And a place worthy of it. PATAGONIA ECLIPSE
Arroyo Pescado, Patagonia The eclipse is the moment. Arroyo Pescado is the place.
In February 2027, Argentine Patagonia will become one of the most privileged places on Earth to witness an extraordinary phenomenon: an annular solar eclipse that, for a few minutes, will transform the relationship between the sky, the land, and everyone beneath it.
Within this context, Eclipse Festival Patagonia 2027, developed by Esencia Patagonia, presents an unprecedented project: a high-end immersive experience designed not only to observe the eclipse, but to truly inhabit it. A meeting point between nature, science, hospitality, wellness, art, and culture — created for travelers seeking more than a destination: an unrepeatable experience in time.
For three days — from February 5th to 7th, 2027 — a private field in the Esquel region will be transformed into a carefully designed temporary territory created exclusively for this unique event. The proposal will feature a luxury pop-up glamping infrastructure integrated into the Patagonian landscape, conceived to exist only during the eclipse and later be removed under low-impact environmental standards and deep respect for the natural surroundings.
The location has been strategically selected to guarantee a privileged eclipse viewing experience, combining untouched nature, design, comfort, and immersive activities. The festival will bring together boutique hospitality concepts, themed glampings, wellness, conscious gastronomy, ceremonies, live music, and cultural experiences designed to create a profound connection with the territory, the sky, and time itself.
The program will integrate immersive activities inspired by contemplation, nature, and the ancestral cultures of Patagonia, including yoga, meditation, contemplative trekking, collective rituals, sound healing experiences, astronomical observation, wellness activities, and cultural proposals connected to the identity of the Patagonian territory.
Guests and attendees will also receive a specially designed eclipse observation kit to safely and consciously experience the astronomical phenomenon. The gastronomic proposal will focus on healthy and sustainable cuisine, featuring conscious menus created with regional and seasonal ingredients, organic and biodynamic wines, natural energizing beverages, and infusions inspired by Patagonian botanicals.
The project will also incorporate a regenerative and low-impact environmental approach through sustainable waste management systems, reduction of disposable materials, and participatory environmental actions aimed at regenerating the landscape. As part of this vision, planting and land-care activities will be developed as a long-term environmental initiative, seeking to leave a positive footprint beyond the event itself.
Patagonia Eclipse 2027 will not simply be a festival. It will be a temporary territory created to experience one of the most extraordinary astronomical phenomena on Earth through connection, contemplation, and collective transformation.
A refined Patagonia eclipse retreat combining comfort, adventure, and exclusivity — featuring private glamping, gourmet dining, wellness experiences, outdoor activities, and premium eclipse viewing in a breathtaking natural setting.
